Abstract
This article discusses at length the role of the geographical region, climate and season chosen for the plot in the novels “Quiet Don” by M. Sholokhov and “Shirashilar” by Sh. Seitov in revealing the national character and psychology of the hero. How the dialectology of national character influences the hero’s psychology, and its relation to changes in the national character traits, values and notions formed in a person, are analyzed using the examples of the images of Grigory Melekhov, Panteley Melekhov, and Old Man Yesjan.
