Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence into English Language Learning has fundamentally transformed contemporary educational paradigms. This paper investigates the multi-faceted impact of AI-driven tools-ranging from Intelligent Tutoring Systems and Automated Writing Evaluation to large language models -on the development of language proficiency and learner autonomy. Utilizing a comprehensive synthesis of recent literature, the study evaluates how adaptive learning algorithms personalize instruction to meet diverse learner needs while reducing affective filters. Concurrently, it addresses the critical challenge of teacher preparation and workload, analyzing how blended learning environments can optimize instructional efficiency without compromising pedagogical quality. Ultimately, the paper provides evidence-based recommendations for integrating AI into curriculum design, highlighting the need to balance technological innovation with ethical considerations and human-centric pedagogy.
