Abstract
Behind every artistic and expressive means used in a literary text lie the linguocultural codes of a particular nation, formed over centuries. Investigating the cultural and linguistic foundations of these means at the intersection of linguistics and literary studies is the key to fully understanding the conceptual world of the text and the author's idiolect. Although artistic and expressive means have been quite extensively studied and somewhat systematized in Uzbek literary studies and linguopoetics , their connection with cultural codes remains virtually unexplored.
