General Director



PhD in Psychology (USACH). Master in Clinical Psychology (USACH), Psychologist (UNAH) and Science Diplomat Trainer (TWAS-AAAS).

Former Honduran diplomat, with 9 years of experience, where she served as Cultural Attaché, First Secretary and Head of Consular Affairs of Honduras in Chile.

In the area of ​​Science Diplomacy she has received training at the Science Diplomacy Center of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Washington DC, The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Trieste, Italy, and at the Think Tank , Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) New Delhi, India.

Guest teacher and advisor of the Science Diplomacy course (2019) of the Chilean Diplomatic Academy (ACADE).

In the field of Cyberpsychology, she completed his doctoral thesis in the area of evidence-based ​​interventions to increase well-being, and its potential for development through Virtual Reality.

She is also Co-Founder and Director of “Blossom” Startup in its initial stage, which aims to increase well-being through the use of immersive technologies.

Blossom is the first selected project and winner in the field of humanities in the scientific-technological contest "Despega - University of Santiago de Chile" on its early phase version 2019.

Blossom has also been selected to participate in "VECTOR" an acceleration program of the Faculty of Engineering - USACH. Blossom was also part of the 5 pitch finalists in the "Her Global Impact - 2019" academy.

Bioquímica chilena con un Doctorado en Bioquímica y Biología Molecular de la Universidad Estatal de Michigan (EE.UU.), Maestría en Políticas Públicas y Gestión de la Universidad Carnegie Mellon (EE.UU.). Su investigación se centra en la política científica y tecnológica, el asesoramiento científico y la diplomacia científica. Publicó un libro en 2016 y organizó una reunión de científicos a nivel nacional en 2016 para discutir cuáles eran las principales barreras para todo tipo de investigación y qué se proponía para superarlas. Los resultados de la reunión fueron utilizados por la principal agencia gubernamental del país (CONICYT) para desarrollar una serie de cambios y políticas. Miembro actual del Comité Directivo INGSA-LAC y asesor del Consejo Científico de Cambio Climático de Chile.

Commercial Engineer from the University of Santiago and MBA from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with solid experience in the area of ​​finance, planning and management control, innovation, in leading international companies in services, mass consumption, machinery, and mining, with focus on developing high-performance teams, transformational leadership and as a value-creating agent.

In addition, he is an entrepreneur with two projects, both awarded in competitions and with access to sources of financing through Incubators and one with private capital.

He worked as Finance Manager at Kinross Gold Corporation and Sandvik Mining and Construction, and at companies such as Nestlé and PwC.

Professional in international cooperation and development with more than 15 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, fundraising, advocacy, entrepreneurship, employability and youth throughout the Latin American and Caribbean region.

He has worked in international cooperation organizations such as the German International Cooperation (GIZ), the Dutch Cooperation Service (SNV) and the Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation (AGCID). Also in international NGOs such as OXFAM, TECHO Foundation, World Vision and Junior Achievement and before the Permanent Mission of Honduras to the United Nations (UN).

A nivel regional se ha desarrollado como Director de Desarrollo y Alianzas para Junior Achievement Americas, a cargo de movilizar recursos financieros y no financieros, alianzas y redes para la región de las Américas. También fue Director Regional de Incidencia para América Latina y el Caribe en World Vision International a cargo de monitorear 14 oficinas en la región. Y es el fundador de la ONG TECHO en Honduras para luego mudarse a Chile y ser Director de Desarrollo Regional y fondos para América Latina y el Caribe en la AGCID.

He currently works as a partner of a consulting firm in strategic planning, fundraising, communication, marketing and social entrepreneurship for the Third Sector of Latin America: www.nexfundraising.com.

As an individual international consultant, he has worked with Impact Hub Global, International Development Enterprise iDE, Child Helpline International and UNICEF El Salvador, USAID - Ensuring Education in Honduras, Child Helpline International and UNICEF Mexico.

In 2018, the Chilean government was honored through the Honduran Embassy in Chile for his outstanding career as a professional and for his contribution to the Chile-Honduras relationship.
