About The Science Connect

The Science Connect Consortium —a global alliance of leading academic institutions—is proud to announce the International Conference on Culture and Environmental Sustainability. This landmark event brings together diverse perspectives from Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Europe to address the most pressing challenge of our era.

Organized through the strategic partnership of:

  • Universitas Andalas (Indonesia)
  • Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (Malaysia)
  • Bukhara State University (Uzbekistan)
  • Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (Turkey)
  • Istanbul Ticaret University (Turkey)
  • Khazar University (Azerbaijan)

By bridging the diverse intellectual landscapes of Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Europe, the consortium creates a unique “Knowledge Silk Road.” Our partnership is dedicated to breaking down geographic and disciplinary silos to address global challenges through shared research, cultural exchange, and high-impact publication strategies.

Aims of the Consortium

The Science Connect Consortium was established to serve as a catalyst for international research integration. Our primary aims are:

  • To Foster Transnational Research: Building a collaborative ecosystem where scholars from different continents can co-author research that carries both local relevance and global impact.
  • To Elevate Academic Standards: Synchronizing the research quality of member institutions with the rigorous requirements of international indexing databases like Scopus and Web of Science.
  • To Bridge Culture and Science: Promoting interdisciplinary studies that explore how cultural heritage and social values influence modern scientific and environmental sustainability.
  • To Equalize Knowledge Access: Providing a platform for researchers from emerging economies to access global publishing networks and high-level mentorship.

Strategic Objectives

To achieve these aims, the consortium operates through a set of measurable and action-oriented objectives:

  • Joint Publication Initiatives: To facilitate the publication of high-quality manuscripts in Scopus and WoS-indexed journals through expert editorial guidance and internal peer-review “camps.”
  • Inter-University Mobility: To encourage the exchange of faculty and post-graduate students among member universities to share specialized laboratory techniques and social research methodologies.
  • Co-Hosting International Conferences: To organize biannual flagship events, such as the International Conference on Culture and Environmental Sustainability, providing a stage for cross-continental scholarly dialogue.
  • Capacity Building: To conduct specialized workshops—including Scopus Camps and DOAJ Indexing Masterclasses—that empower journal editors and authors within the consortium to meet international best practices.
  • Collaborative Grant Seeking: To leverage the collective expertise of the six member universities to apply for international research funding in areas of climate change, social policy, and sustainable development.

Our Vision: To become a leading global voice in interdisciplinary research, ensuring that cultural wisdom and scientific innovation go hand-in-hand to solve the complexities of the 21st century.
